About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Lead Deckhand | Chase Boat Captain to join a wonderful 50m Sport Fisher.
Step aboard and be part of an exceptional crew, many of whom we’ve placed ourselves. With years of experience working with this yacht, we know the ins and outs, so we can give you honest, detailed answers about working onboard.
The successful candidate will assist in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, performing tasks as directed by senior deck officers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant training and experience who are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork at sea.
Key Responsibilities:

Follow instructions provided by the Bosun, and Chief Officer.

Assist with vessel operations including mooring, unmooring, and anchoring.

Perform maintenance and general upkeep of the vessel.

Report any defects or issues promptly to senior deck officers.

Actively promote and implement the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Exercise authority to “stop the job” if safety, security, or environmental risks are identified.

Carry out any other legitimate instructions from officers.
Competence Requirements:

Suitable education, training, and experience to perform deck department tasks effectively.

Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to safety protocols.

Ability to follow directions from senior officers.
